29th December Marathon Ride into the New Year

To celebrate the beginning of the New Year I rode today a Marathon; temperatures 2-4 C and it took me riding between 6:45 PM and 8:40 PM 1 hour and 53 min.

As I was riding along the lake of Zurich I saw that it was full moon night and I stopped to take this picture.

 Once again a year has passed and I hope you had lots of success and many beautiful things to remember.

My last entry of my blog dates back a year - as on 11 Dec during the Zurich Sylvester Race I had broken my ankle. As good the operation went, running is still painful and slow: about 5:30 - 6:30 km for 3 km. So I am happy that on the bike I really feel good.

For me the 2013 sport season started today.....

Route: From Zurich to Dübendorf along the Greifensee to Rapperswil and then back along Zurich Lake: 65.6 km 2:37:19 elevation 365 m with average speed 25km/h (max 48.7 km/h).
